I’m Wiremu Paipa, founder of KiwiData.
I’ve been helping keep New Zealand businesses online since 1998 — back when we were known as BigNoise Webdesign and later WebConnect. Over the years, I’ve worked with small start-ups, big corporates, and national brands across Aotearoa.

In 2007, I made the call to step away from web design so I could focus purely on hosting and supporting clients behind the scenes. That’s when Big Noise Web Design Limited was formally closed.

But in 2023, I brought web design back. Why? Because I was seeing too many businesses getting burned — either by short-lived, unreliable providers or by designers charging exorbitant prices for work that didn’t match the cost. Over the years, we’ve also had to drop many resellers who failed to meet our standards, leaving clients stranded.
